Watching a good movie at the cinema is without a doubt one of the best experiences. But have you ever stopped to think about what the best place to sit is at a movie theater? We explain it to you here at Nerd Codex! Grab the popcorn and let’s go!
First, depending on your age, it is very likely that you may not remember or imagine what movie theaters were like in the past, right? Well, know that things weren’t very good, no: the seats were quite uncomfortable – even more so for long movies, less soft than today’s, and not as ergonomic as they are now.
Ook was het destijds behoorlijk lastig om op één plek te zitten zonder dat er een dozijn mensen je zicht blokkeerden. Dezelfde visuele variatie kon worden toegepast op het gebied van akoestiek. Het was een letterlijk ingewikkelde periode en het vinden van de beste plek om te zitten in de bioscoop was bijna onmogelijk.
Gelukkig verbeteren de zaken met de evolutie van technologie en de industrie als geheel beetje bij beetje, op vrijwel alle gebieden. Wat betreft bioscopen hebben we enorme schermen, audiosystemen die hele omgevingen kunnen voltooien en, gelukkig, en uiteindelijk, steeds comfortabelere stoelen.
Tegenwoordig kunt u in de nieuwste bioscopen de stoelen in de positie laten staan die u het beste vindt, en als de film slecht is, een lekker dutje doen op een uiterst comfortabele plek. Wie doet dat nou niet, toch?
Wat u misschien niet weet, is dat niet alleen het comfort is verbeterd met deze recente en positieve veranderingen, maar dat de strategische positie van elke bank het erg moeilijk maakt dat u halverwege 2022 nog steeds de hoofden van andere mensen in de weg zitten van uw filmvisie. En het beste is dat dit overal in de kamer geldt.
It doesn’t matter what your seat will be, you’ll be able to see the screen well and hear the audio well. But logically, choosing a seat involves your personal preference, of course. The perfect location, however, does exist.
It is located in the row that is two-thirds of the way from the screen to the back of the room – a little behind what would be the center of the room – more or less in the middle of the movie theater. At that point, choose a seat right in the center of the row and that’s it: this is the perfect place.
The reason is simple: this is the exact spot that guarantees the best stereo sound quality, as the speakers are always tested in the direction of the row of chairs that separates the room in half. Standing a little behind that line guarantees even better audio. We just don’t recommend the first row, so you don’t have neck pain!
