What is the best place to sit at the cinema?

Watching a good movie at the cinema is without a doubt one of the best experiences. But have you ever stopped to think about what the best place to sit is at a movie theater? We explain it to you here at Nerd Codex! Grab the popcorn and let’s go!

First, depending on your age, it is very likely that you may not remember or imagine what movie theaters were like in the past, right? Well, know that things weren’t very good, no: the seats were quite uncomfortable – even more so for long movies, less soft than today’s, and not as ergonomic as they are now.

Also, sitting in one place without a dozen people blocking your view was quite difficult at the time. The same visual variation could be applied in the acoustic field. It was a literally complicated period, and finding the best place to sit at the cinema was next to impossible.

Fortunately, with the evolution of technology and the industry as a whole, things tend to improve little by little, in practically all areas. In terms of movie theaters, we have huge screens, audio systems capable of completing entire environments, and, fortunately, and finally, increasingly comfortable seats.

Currently, the seats in the latest movie theaters allow you to leave the seat in the position you think is best and, if the movie is bad, take a nice nap in an extremely comfortable place – who never, right?

What you may not know is that not only is comfort improved with these recent and positive changes, but the strategic position of each bank makes it very difficult that, in the middle of 2022, you still have the heads of other people getting in the way of yours. movie vision. And the best thing is that this goes for anywhere in the room.

It doesn’t matter what your seat will be, you’ll be able to see the screen well and hear the audio well. But logically, choosing a seat involves your personal preference, of course. The perfect location, however, does exist.

It is located in the row that is two-thirds of the way from the screen to the back of the room – a little behind what would be the center of the room – more or less in the middle of the movie theater. At that point, choose a seat right in the center of the row and that’s it: this is the perfect place.

The reason is simple: this is the exact spot that guarantees the best stereo sound quality, as the speakers are always tested in the direction of the row of chairs that separates the room in half. Standing a little behind that line guarantees even better audio. We just don’t recommend the first row, so you don’t have neck pain!

Is that you? What is the best place to sit at the cinema in your opinion?
