How to export a project at 60 FPS in DaVinci Resolve

    Video

The DaVinci Resolve is one of the best and most popular video editing software on the market. It is known for its versatility and powerful post-production tools, and it has a completely free version available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

When it comes to exporting a project with a specific frame rate (FPS), such as 60 FPS, the DaVinci Resolve offers full control over the process. In this article, you will learn how to configure and export your project at 60 FPS in DaVinci Resolve.

How to export a project at 60 FPS in DaVinci Resolve

Step 1: Open your project in DaVinci Resolve

Before you begin exporting your project at 60 FPS, make sure the project you want to export is open in DaVinci Resolve. Verify that all edits and adjustments are completed as desired.

    Step 2: Configure project settings

The next step is to configure your project settings to ensure it render at the desired frame rate. Follow these steps:

In the menu bar, click “File” and select “Project Settings”.

In the “Project Settings” window, go to the “Master Settings” tab.

In the “Timeline Frame Rate” section, select “60” from the drop-down menu.

Make sure all other settings are in line with your preferences, such as resolution, aspect ratio, and audio sample rate.

Click “Save” to apply the project settings.

    Step 3: Export your project

Now that the project is set to 60 FPS, you can export it. Follow these steps:

In the menu bar, click “File” and select “Deliver” to open the export window.

In the “Export Settings” tab, you can customize the export settings according to your needs. Make sure the “Render at source resolution” option is selected unless you have a specific reason to change it.

In the “Video” section, make sure the frame rate is set to “Use Project Settings”. This will ensure that the video is exported at 60 FPS as previously configured.

Configure all other export options such as file format, video quality, and destination location according to your preferences.

Click “Add to Render Queue” to add the export task to the queue.

Finally, click “Start Render” to begin the export process. DaVinci Resolve will render your project using the settings you specify.

Make sure your timeline was originally edited at 60 FPS or a higher frame rate. Rendering at 60 FPS from a sequence with a lower frame rate may cause a loss of quality.

Make sure you are using the appropriate export settings for your final destination. For example, streaming and social media platforms may have specific requirements for resolution, codec, and bitrate. If you want to export your project with multiple frame rate settings, you can create multiple queued export jobs and adjust the settings for each as needed.

Exporting a project at 60 FPS in DaVinci Resolve is a simple process, as long as you follow the steps above and pay attention to the project and export settings. With the ability to easily adjust settings, you can be sure that your final video will be rendered at the quality you want.
