With the release of new products and services, it’s relatively common for big companies to use code names for their projects to avoid revealing too much too soon.
In the case of Microsoft, the Xbox One was codenamed “Durango” and the Xbox Series X was called “Project Scarlett” at the time. This time, the temporary name of a potential new product may have leaked.
A well-known tech expert, Tero Alhonen, revealed on his personal Twitter account that he found a Microsoft code named “Xbox Keystone.”
This follows directly after references to the Xbox Durango and Xbox Scarlett.
Many rumors have been circulating in the gaming market for a while, and everything points to the new product being a “Chromecast”-like device from Microsoft with the Xbox Series controller, aimed at democratizing access to the Xbox catalog with a low investment and excellent cost-benefit.
