Velen betwijfelden of het project het zou overleven, aangezien het de console waarvoor het ontworpen was, al had overleefd. In eerste instantie moet de jongen Trico&#039;s vertrouwen winnen door middel van zachte gebaren. Naarmate hun band sterker wordt, leert de jongen Trico dingen zoals springen, hurken en eten.<\/p>\n<p>De kern van de gameplay bestaat uit ingewikkeld ontworpen puzzels en obstakels. Hoewel Trico af en toe boze stenen ridders afweert, vecht de jongen nooit rechtstreeks: hij blijft een strategische partner die achter de schermen opereert.<\/p>\n<p>Trico&#039;s AI is over het algemeen solide, maar kan haperen. Soms loopt hij vast en weet hij niet goed hoe hij verder moet \u2013 zelfs na herhaalde commando&#039;s. Meestal moet je zijn aandacht trekken en naar een voorwerp wijzen voordat hij gehoorzaamt.<\/p>\n<p>Toch voelt dit &#039;onjuiste&#039; gedrag soms opzettelijk aan \u2013 net als het trainen van een pas geadopteerd dier. De visuele stijl doet denken aan Shadow of the Colossus, maar is geoptimaliseerd voor huidige hardware \u2013 compleet met HDR-ondersteuning voor rijkere kleuren.<\/p>\n<p>Zoals verwacht wordt het avontuur gedragen door een prachtige orkestrale soundtrack.
